We had fun at the Whalers game against London

Last Saturday, we saw the Whalers play the London Knights.

The Knights won 6-3. There was a big fight between the two teams by our section and we watched the whole thing. Beau Schmitz of the Whalers checked someone from behind and then everyone started fighting because London did not like that.

Mitchell Heard of the Whalers had a pretty sweet goal. Someone shot the puck and it ricocheted off the goalie and then Mitchell put it in.

Before the game they had a moment of silence for Knights goalie, Ian Jenkins who died in an auto accident in Ypsilanti over the summer. His family came to the game and were wearing Knights jerseys. His father and younger sister dropped the first puck and everybody cheered.

When the Whalers play London, they play the rock song "Lights Out in London" over the loudspeaker. It goes, "Lights out! Lights out in London!" It is pretty funny and that makes London games fun.

It was autograph night and after the game, I got my Whalers cards signed by all the players and they also signed a Whalers poster for me and all the fans.

It was a fun night.
